Beverley Morris
Partner
Commended by Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners for her direct approach and for working “tirelessly” for clients, Beverley is committed to financial cases particularly those involving complex finances, private limited companies, offshore assets and trusts.
Legal 500 says: "Divorce and Family Law Practice’s Beverley Morris ‘knows what she is talking about’. The firm remains a leading light in advising on maintenance pending suit in divorce proceedings, legal costs in Schedule 1 Children Act 1989 cases, and Barder events. Ancillary relief proceedings are another area of focus, often involving offshore investments and jurisdictional issues."
Chambers UK 2011 Beverley Morris is a determined litigator: "She is family law all the way through - she eats, sleeps and drinks it."
Beverley is a fully trained collaborative lawyer.
Beverley has experience in foreign jurisdictions having issued proceedings in Jersey, Spain, Nigeria and New Jersey, USA.
Beverley represents the interests of the mother in the reported decisions MT v T and Moses Taiga v Taiga and has strenuously pursued maintenance pending suit (in divorce proceedings) and maintenance to include legal fees (in Schedule 1 Children Act 1989 proceedings). These cases represent the leading authorities on these points of law.
As committee member and treasurer of West Midlands region of Resolution (formerly the Solicitors Family Law Association) she takes responsibility for organising lectures and in 2008 organised and took part in the 25th Anniversary Resolution celebration, namely a family law debate chaired by Mr. Justice McFarlane in which Beverley spoke on the subject of spousal maintenence.
A dedicated sports player who still represents her county (veterans category) at tennis and has recently taken up golf.

Caroline Dresden
Associate SolicitorCaroline is experienced in all aspects of financial disputes and specialises in high net-worth cases, regularly acting for clients with very substantial assets. Having originally qualified into the family firm in London in 1990, Caroline then set up her own firm before moving to live and work in Birmingham, with her family, in 2003. As a Partner at Benussi & Co she had an impact in the legal community immediately, and was seen as a “breath of fresh air”.
Caroline is also a fully trained collaborative lawyer.
Chambers UK has commented “she is widely admired for her pragmatic and straightforward approach” and in 2010 commented she "fights hard for her clients, but is able to see the bigger picture so you can always trust her advice." She is an associate with an extremely good reputation for ancillary relief. Caroline has an interest in pensions on divorce and enjoys the details of resolving the financial disclosure and presenting the case in a way which maximises the client’s position. She aims to provide effective, proportionate advice, helping clients to focus on the real issues. Caroline finds the majority of her work is referrals from previous clients, who having experienced the whole process, can appreciate the importance of empathetic, firm advice. She also receives referrals from other solicitors and barristers, who obviously want the best for their contacts.
Caroline serves as a committee member of the West Midlands region of Resolution (formerly the Solicitors Family Law Association). This is a group of family lawyers who aim to resolve family breakdown in a conciliatory way. Resolution promotes training and networking, and its own code of conduct, all of which ultimately benefits the client too.
Caroline is on the Fundraising committee for Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice and involved with several community organisations but otherwise has little spare time, as a wife and mother of two boys! Telephone 0121 200 0890
